Laura Brockson, Vice-President
Laura Brockson was born in Baltimore, MD and moved to the Annapolis area in 1997. Laura works as a Project Scheduler for Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). She received a B.A. from Grove City College in 2007 and is pursuing a Masters in Information Resource Management.
Laura became a member of the Young Republicans while volunteering for the Anne Arundel County McCain-Palin campaign in 2008. She is looking forward to expanding her role within the Maryland Republican Party, and has a passion for growing the AAYRs in membership and their enfluence in supporting the community.
Laura resides in Annapolis and her interests include charity work, running races, and ballroom dancing.

Brian Griffiths, Immediate Past President
Brian Griffiths has lived his entire life in Anne Arundel County. Born in Baltimore, Brian and his parents lived in Jessup prior to moving to Pasadena in 1983.
Brian has been active in working to further the Republican Cause in Anne Arundel County. He has actively worked in strategic roles in the campaigns of Phil Bissett, former Delegate Terry Gilleland, County Councilman Ron Dillon, and Delegate Nic Kipke, as well as being a proud member of the Anne Arundel County Bush-Cheney '04 and McCain-Palin teams. He has also served as the Vice-President of the North County Republican Club, and the Communications Director for the YRs.
Brian is also an active member of the Maryland blogosphere, launching Anne Arundel County’s first political weblog in January 2005. He is a Contributing Editor to RedMaryland, one of Maryland’s most widely read and influential blogs and has produced a number of video podcasts entitled The Brian Griffiths Minute. He is also a regular contributor to Conservative Refuge Podcast. In 2008, Brian was also the Co-Host of RedMaryland Radio, and a contributor to The Word on the Street with Warren Monks on WAMD AM 970 in Aberdeen.
Brian lives in Pasadena.
